As we said above, GOAC is an all-volunteer organization. Active members are leaders and arrange to lead all events and
activities from beginner to expert. Our outdoor activities range from peaceful and relaxing to challenging and full of excitement.
From the extremes of winter camping, strenous backpacking and hiking, mountain biking, whitewater kayaking, and extreme costal
kayaking to the gentle day paddle, beginner backpacking, walk or day hike, GOAC has something to offer everyone. We are a
diverse group with members of all ages and experience. Join GOAC to challenge yourself, share your outdoor skills and meet
other outdoor adventurers!
GOAC utilizes Meetup which allows us to access the latest web-based technology allowing members to sign up for events and interact with other
club members online. As a GOAC member it provides an interactive site allowing you to view all event details and communicate
with with other GOAC'ers privately. In addition, we have a community bulletin board for members to "chat" with one another
and to provide useful feedback for the club and to give feedback about the events you've attended. You need to join GOAC via
Meetup to participate in events, the member Message Board, and all things GOAC offers. We do offer a two week trial for you
to join and see what you think before paying your membership fees. Take this time to look around and find your next adventure!

a particular piece of gear, there are plenty of members that will offer their extra gear to borrow, or try to help you
find what you need. It seems like everyone, especially the leaders; are eager to share their love for outdoor adventure
