Welcome to Greenville Outdoor Adventure Club, aka GOAC, aiming to be the largest multi-activity "event based" club in Eastern, NC. GOAC is a club offering events geared towards those with a love of the outdoors and those with a love of fun. We offer two types of events, Outdoor and Social.
GOAC is an all-volunteer member organization. Leaders organize and lead all trips and activities for our members from beginner to expert. Our outdoor activities range from peaceful and relaxing to  challenging and full of excitement. From the extremes of winter camping, rock climbing, strenuous hiking, mountain biking, whitewater kayaking, coastal kayaking to the gentle paddle, walk or day hike, GOAC has something to offer everyone. We are a diverse group with members of all ages and experience. Join GOAC to challenge yourself, share your outdoor skills and meet other outdoor adventurers!!
GOAC is the most active outdoor sport and social organization in Eastern NC. We offer a wide variety of recreational activities ranging from outdoor adventures and team sports to group travels and social events to couples and singles in Greenville and coastal areas. Our events are group oriented, providing you a safe as well as fun way to explore life and meeting lots of people who share your interests. Our utilization of the best and latest Web-based technology allows members to sign-up for events and interact with other club members online.
Our members range in age from 21 to 62 years of age, with approximately 60% being single and 40% married or in committed relationship. Most GOAC members live in the Greenville and surrounding areas. GOAC accommodates people of all ages and backgrounds. Most people join GOAC in spring and summer. Due to constant influx of new members our membership demographic changes month to month.
Event Cost: Membership is $35 per person and $60 for couples living in the same household. Most GOAC's outdoor and sport events are free to members. Group travel is with substantial group discount. Other social events are at cost. GOAC provides sport, outdoor equipment, and facility so members can try out different activities without spending money on equipment that they might not use again. Our events are organized in five main category: Sports, Social, Outdoor Adventures, Group Travel and Community Service. With events planned each month, and something planned most every day, you can never get bored with the club.
